Hadrian’s Gate
The Basics
Many Antalya city tours include a photo stop at Hadrian’s Gate, and visiting with a guide can offer greater insight into the history of this ancient structure. Join a walking tour of Kaleiçi’s historic landmarks and stroll around Antalya Marina, or opt for an electric bike tour of the city to cover more ground. Another popular choice is to combine a sightseeing tour of central Antalya with nearby attractions like Duden Waterfall or Antalya Aquarium.
Things to Know Before You Go
There is no admission charge and the gate is always open.
There are numerous places to eat and drink along Atatürk Boulevard.
Hadrian’s Gate is not wheelchair accessible; passage through the gate is via two flights of stairs.
How to Get There
Hadrian’s Gate is located just off Atatürk Boulevard, near its intersection with Recep Peker Boulevard. The gate marks the border between Kaleiçi and the new city. Trams stop nearby on Atatürk Cad, but the gate is also easily reached on foot from most central attractions.
