Return Details

Returns to original departure point
Following a pickup from central London, hop aboard your air-conditioned coach and settle in for the journey west to the UNESCO-World Heritage–listed site of Stonehenge. Nobody truly knows the origins of this ancient stone circle, but with a history shrouded in mystery it remains one of England’s top visitor attractions.

On arrival at the site, pick up your free audio guide and begin exploring independently. Listen to the various theories behind the stones’ curious formation and imagine the uses to which the site could have been put 5,000 years ago.

During your visit, stroll around the 40-ton stones and wonder how they could possibly have been carried here those thousands of years ago. Capture the rock formation through the lens of your camera and admire the bluestone rocks in the interior of the circle. With the evidence laid out before you, come to your own conclusions regarding their significance to the site.

When it’s time to leave Stonehenge behind, hop back aboard your coach for the return journey to London, where your tour will come to an end where it began.
Stop At:
Travel back over 5,000 years time to prehistoric Britain and explore the ancient ruins of the world's preeminent Neolithic monument. Enjoy 2.5 hours to explore the site at your own pace as you step inside the reconstructed Neolithic houses, furnished with replica axes, pottery and other functional items. Inside the world-class visitor exhibition centre, come face-to-face with a 5,500-year-old man and discover over 250 archaeological objects on display, including jewellery and even human remains. Admire the impressive megaliths of the ancient Stone Circle, some of which stand over 9 metres (30 feet) tall and weigh more than 25 tons. Along the landscape of the Salisbury Plain, you'll see hundreds of barrows that stretch as far as the eye can see. Find out why these barrows exist, and answer other important questions along the way such as 'who made Stonehenge' and 'how was Stonehenge built'.

Rude bus driver, rushed experience
, Mar 2020
I was very disappointed in this tour experience. We only had time to do the outdoor audio tour and a get a quick bite to eat at the cafe. We did not have time for the museum exhibit at all. The bus driver was grumpy and rude. He made several snide comments to the effect of “not sure why anyone would want to visit Stonehenge anyway,” and he also cut our time short at the site. He said we’d have 2 hours on site once we left the bus, but then counted that time from when we entered the parking lot a full 10 minutes before. This turned out to be critical as he actually tried to leave without us while we were in line for the toilets! My daughters and I were in line for the toilets behind a huge group of young school kids. (It’s a 2-hour ride each way and there is no toilet on the bus, so skipping the toilets was not an option. You are also not allowed to eat on the bus, so skipping the cafe is also not an option.) My husband and son went to the bus to tell him we’d be there soon, only to find he was already pulling away! My husband flagged him down and asked him to stop, and he was very angry and actually said that we were making him late for somewhere he had to be. Only saving grace was that the people in the office were very nice. But this tour should not be described as having extra time, because it is actually quite rushed.

Experience Stonehenge
, Feb 2020
It was a great bus trip to Stonehenge. The bus driver, Mark, gave a lot of information about London as we left the city and upon returning to the city. It was a nice drive there as you get to see some of the British countryside. Although it was a cold and wet day we still enjoyed the visit, and it was not crowded at all. We were able to get great pictures since there were not crowds of people. And there were no lines to wait in. The information exhibit has interesting info, so spend some time there.

It was a very cold, wet and windy day but we were warm and cosy on the bus trip to Stonehenge. Super comfy bus with usb ports and our driver was friendly and pointed out places of interest during our drive through London. The pasties in the Cafe are delicious and so warming on such a miserable day. Thank you to the driver for dropping us close to our hotel (it was on the way back and he didn't have to go out of his way). We really appreciated it. Stonehenge is a wonderful place full of mystery and intrigue. My family and I really enjoyed the day. Thank you!
Another trip checked off my bucket list

October 17 express tour to Stonehenge with Mark
, Oct 2019
Hi! My husband and I were on Mark’s express tour to Stonehenge on Thursday, October 17. It. Was. Great. Mark is the best driver, knowledgeable and gave interesting and historic commentary during the drive. What a bonus he was to the drive. You’ve got a talented, personable, humorous employee. So glad he was our driver! Ann and Dan Russell
