Authentic cooking experience

An amazing, authentic experience learning about more than just the cooking, with a day spent in the heart of a lovely family chatting about their culture. The dishes we made were delicious with fresh ingredients.

This is a must do tour if you're in Marrakech. Laila and her family were so warm and welcoming. There were five of us who attended the cooking class and we all had a great time. We loved the tea served before the meal and inquired on where to buy it so Laila sent her husband to the store to get some for us. We made starters, an entree, and a dessert. Everything was delicious. I had an amazing time and would encourage any one who wants to learn how to make Morocco dishes to take this class.

A great day not to be missed

My friends and I had a great experience with Chef Laila and her nephew Ayoub. We were welcomed into her home and had a great time preparing and cooking our lunch followed by henna painting for those that wanted it. You’ll learn a lot more about spices and preparing food and come away with recipes so you can replicate at home. Ayoub is very happy to chat about life in Morocco and we all came away having had a great day. If you get the chance to go, don’t hesitate.

Fantastic cooking class in a traditional family home! We had the best time with chef Laila, her daughter Fatima and cousin Ayub. We learned the fundamentals of Moroccan teas, salads, marinades, herbs, spices, tegines and dessert. We felt welcomed in her home. It was a great glimpse into the traditional way of life and classic foods all together. We would highly recommend this cooking class for vegetarians as well.

I can’t say enough about how authentic this experience was. Spend a morning with Yasser and Leila and you will not be disappointed. They are gracious hosts who accomodate, inform, smile, laugh and teach. Thank you to you both!

This is definitely a must do when in Morocco. Chef Leila and her nephew were really welcoming. They took us the the local market to pick the veg and experience the how the locals shop. Chef Leila taught us a lot on picking the right type of veg and also HOW TO CLEAN CHICKEN properly! She doesn’t speak much English but her nephew Yaseer was on point with translation and such a great character. We got served mint tea at her house and made 5 different salads as a starter and 2 tagines. Once you try chef Leila’s tagine it’s hard for anywhere else to compete with. Thank you for the lovely hospitality and experience.

Laila welcomed us in her house. We cooked 5 different vegetables and made a tajine. We had a desert at last. Laila was very friendly and she explained a lot about the cooking. It was a good experience and nice food! Would recommend this to anyone, also if you don’t do that much cooking yourself, it is accessible for anyone.
